In 2020, the same year Japan is hosting the Tokyo Olympics, JASMA (Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association) is holding JIAM 2020 International Apparel Machinery & Textile Industry Trade Show.

As globalization proceeds, apparel production has been shifting from China to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and on even to Africa.
As an all-embracing trade fair for the apparel and textile industry, in response to globalization and other market trends, through the application of advanced technology such as IoT, AI, and robots, JIAM 2020 will exhibit ways increase productivity and improve reliability. In the show, we will demonstrate ingenious new products and propose innovative production systems.

At the first JIAM 2020 Executive Committee meeting, held on March 22, we began to seriously consider how to proceed.
