The JASMA, organizer of JIAM show, aims to develop and implement surveys and plans, and promote standardization in the production, distribution, etc. of sewing machinery, sewing machinery parts and accessories, and sewing-related equipment, including hand knitting machines (hereinafter called "Sewing and Other Equipment."), in order to bring about the overall development of the Sewing and Other Equipment industries, to help to raise the quality of people's lives and contribute to the development of Japan's national economy.

Activities

1. (1) Develop and implement surveys and proposals for the production, distribution, etc. of Sewing and Other Equipment.
2. (2) Promote standardization in Sewing and Other Equipment.
3. (3) Publicize and educate concerning applied technology for Sewing and Other Equipment.
4. (4) Hold international exhibitions for Sewing and Other Equipment.
5. (5) Exchange and cooperate with domestic and overseas organizations, etc. concerning Sewing and Other Equipment.
6. (6) Any activities incidental or relating to any of the preceding items, and any enterprises necessary to achieve the aims of the Association.

Osaka International Business Promotion Center promotes economic development for Osaka and the Kansai region through activities such as the management and operation of an international trade show venue --INTEX Osaka-- where JIAM 2016 OSAKA will be held.
INTEX Osaka celebrates its thirtieth birthday this year. Over the years, it has hosted more than 3,200 events (mainly trade shows and exhibitions) and more than 100 million visitors.
