JIAM 2020 OSAKA, organised by the Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association (JASMA), will start accepting exhibitor applications from May 2018 for its next edition in 2020. 2020 will be the year of the Tokyo Olympic Games. As a result, JIAM 2020 OSAKA is set to have an expanded scale to accommodate the country’s expected economic boost that year. Under the renewed theme, “JIAM 2020, the forefront of the Future technology and Master craftsmanship collaboration”, the fair aims to become an information platform to link Japan with the world.
Facing the digitalisation trends, accelerated by the introduction of such new technologies as IoT and A.I., it is now increasingly important to discover how the apparel, fashion, and textile industries see those challenges, and adjust or evolve for the next chapter.
In those years of ‘change’, the fair provides a global business platform, introducing innovative solutions for those challenges ahead, by combining existing high-level skillsets that have survived the drastic market change in the past, and the latest technology that has been built on knowledge and history.
